    ASHES & SNOW NOMADIC MUSEUM

Walls were erected with 300 rented, bright orange shipping containers that were returned after the exhibit ended.

• Recycled sheets of PVC were used for the roof and infill panels between the shipping containers, creating a checkerboard design.

The building was secured with a chain anchor system, commonly used on massive shipping freighters, to compensate for a 3” slope in this Santa Monica pier parking lot and make this structure seismically safe.

The 1200-amp electrical service we erected was donated to the City of Santa Monica for future venues next to the pier.

Interior lighting, exit signs and emergency lights were rented from an entertainment production rental company.

Back office constructed out of cardboard tubes, rough sawn wood, and cardboard boxes.

Bookstore was also constructed of cardboard tubes, rough sawn wood, and cardboard boxes.
